At the 2011 ATA (Archery Trade Association) trade show I got the chance to handle and shoot the newest high performance crossbow from Bowtech, the Strykezone 380. This is one very impressive crossbow! As the name suggests it is rated at 380 feet per second (with a 385 grain bolt), however its the trigger that is the most impressive feature on this crossbow. Set at just 4 lbs it breaks cleanly with no creep. The key to this excellent result is a roller/shear system similar to Scott archery releases. In fact the jaws that hold the string are also similar in design to Scott jaws.
