Parker's newest crossbow is the Cyclone. In our proshop the Cyclone has become an instant hit, outselling almost all other crossbows combined. Once a customer compares the Parker Cyclone to other crossbows they almost always make it their first choice.

The first reason the Parker Cyclone is such an attractive crossbow is arrow speed. By using an unique cam layout in which the string lies to the riser side of the cam Parker has effectivly added 2 inches of powerstroke compared to conventionaly designed crossbow. The 2 inches extra powerstroke deliver a bolt at 350 feet per second out of only a 175 lb crossbow! This makes the Parker Cyclone one of the fastest crossbow availible anywhere. In testing at our proshop the Cyclone has met or exceeded Parker's speed rating. Many other crossbows we have tested (and will be un-named here) have fallen well short of their advertised speeds when tested. The Parker Cyclone acheives this speed with a full weight bolt (425 grains), we suspect some manufacturers are testing with underweight bolts to give speed ratings but then recommending to the public full weight bolts which are significantly slower but easier on crossbow limbs.

A second reason The Cyclone impresses is its solid construction. The butt stock is a six-position length adjustable stock straight off an AR-15 rifle. The barrel is machined and includes a Picatinny rail with an adjustable forend. The trigger is Parker's advanced trigger system which is crisp with virtually no creep. The riser is machined out of a solid billet and the limbs are solid fiberglass dipped in Next G-1 camo. Parker has also eliminated one potential crossbow trouble spot by building the trigger mechanism and scope mount as one solid unit.
