The Recon crossbow has an unique design that instantly catches ones attention. The limbs are mounted "backwards" to those on a normal crossbow! As unusual as the design is, in practice it works quite well. The backward mounted limbs allow the Horton Recon to acheive an adequate powerstroke with limbs that are only 18 inches wide.
