Horton Legend Crossbow
The Legend crossbow line has been Hortons most successful line of crossbows. All Legend crossbows are built on the Legend crossbow stock, an attractive thumbhole stock made of a molded polymer material. The Legend line has been continually updated by Horton through the years. Today's Legends are availible in several different scope or red-dot packages and come with either 150 or 175 lb limbs.
Todays Horton Legend crossbows are an excellent value for the money. They offer good performance with speeds up to 310 feet per second, the Talon Ultra-Light match grade trigger, machined aluminum wheels, and comfortable ergonomics.
In our opinion there is only one thing Horton could do to improve the Legend line of bows. In fact we wish Horton would do this on all there bows. That improvement would be to replace the dial-a-range system with a solid one piece trigger/scope mount. In the field the dial-a-range system is too easy to inadvertantly change the range causing complete misses of either high or low. With todays crossbow scopes with multiple dots or crosshairs there is no reason to use the dial-a-range feature. Tenpoint replaced the dial-a-range type system on their crossbows several years ago and it only added to their crossbow sales. Horton should do the same thing.
