The Desert Stryker is a smaller, less powerful version of the Bowtech Stryker crossbow. Even though it does not acheive the blistering fast 405 fps speed of the larger Stryker it shoots at over 350 feet per second which still makes it one of the fastest crossbows built today. Besides being a smaller crossbow, the Desert Stryker also lacks the built-in cocking mechanism of the Stryker. Bowtech supplies a rope cocking aid with every Desert Stryker bow, however it still takes a strong effort to cock it in this manner. Many archers will prefer the larger Stryker crossbow as the built in cocking aid is much easier to use.
